What is Custom Nose Art ?
The artwork of David White, inspired by military aircrew nose art of World War II, that
can be personalized with your name, organization, event or company logo.
Originating in World War I, nose art was most widely practiced in WWII. Ranging from
cartoons to provocative images of women, these works represented the outspoken
individuality of the crews and gave them a way to express their emotions about their
country or their enemy. Nose art was hardly sanctioned by the military. But the men in
charge allowed their men to show their spirit through their decoration. Nose art still
has a place today in the modern military, but it has never seen the proliferation that it
did in the second world war.
I have always had a passion for aviation, particularly for the World War II era. Inspired
by those historical artworks, I have created this company to offer a unique product. I
base my artwork and designs on traditional designs from the 1930’Äôs and 1940’Äôs to
celebrate veteran flyers of all eras. My original designs and artwork offer you the
opportunity to own a unique and personal nose art illustration of your own. I have
created standard designs that can be personalized with your name, organization,
event or company logo. If you desire something more unique, I also accept
commissions for one of a kind artwork.
Thank you for your interest,
